The Cadre Building

The Cadre Building is a historic downtown Memphis venue for weddings, corporate functions and social celebrations. Dating from 1928, its architectural character provides a distinctive setting for occasions ranging from elegant dinners and receptions to conferences, award ceremonies, proms, birthday parties and charity events.

The building offers three connected areas that organisers can use together and configure to suit their plans. The Grand Ballroom is the principal event space, with high ceilings, chandeliers and decorative architectural details. An overlooking mezzanine provides room for gatherings such as a drinks reception, while the landing offers an additional area for guest arrivals and reception details. The venue describes its total space as around 36,000 square feet, with capacity varying according to the event and layout.

The Cadre Building works with couples, businesses, non-profits and other organisers. Its event professionals can discuss room arrangements and help coordinate venue-related details with the event planner. The team also assists with branding requirements for corporate occasions and can advise on audiovisual and technology rentals. Tables, linens and getting-ready spaces are among the available facilities, with some items subject to separate rental or cleaning fees. The venue also offers packages for selected celebrations, including weddings, micro-weddings and quinceañeras.

Situated in the heart of Memphis, The Cadre Building provides a memorable historic backdrop while accommodating a range of event styles. Organisers can enquire about availability, request venue information and arrange a tour to consider the spaces and setup for their event.
