Sherborne Westend Community Hall

Sherborne Westend Community Hall is a community venue available to hire for private celebrations, weddings, meetings and other gatherings in Sherborne. Its main hall can accommodate up to 120 seated guests, making it suitable for a range of occasions, from family parties to corporate events. For smaller groups, the Shorland Room seats up to 20 and can be booked for meetings, intimate gatherings or classes.

Organisers can hire the main hall by the hour, with the option of adding the kitchen. The venue has a bar serving drinks and refreshments, and the kitchen is available for event use. Wedding hire packages include an extended booking period, tables and chairs, glassware, bar hire, kitchen access and use of the garden. Optional decorations and finishing touches, such as table linen, chair covers and wedding props, are also available to hire.

The hall is run as a community facility and has grown over time, with a bar area and a later building extension providing additional space. Alongside private bookings, it hosts activities and community gatherings, so it is used for more than one type of occasion. Its flexible rooms and range of hire options give event planners the choice of a larger celebration space or a smaller room, with practical facilities available to support their plans. Organisers can contact the venue to discuss their event requirements and arrange a booking.
