Sanibel Community House

Sanibel Community House is a historic event venue on Periwinkle Way, welcoming organisers for weddings, family celebrations, meetings, banquets and community gatherings. Founded in 1927, the building combines original Old Florida character with renovated, adaptable spaces for occasions of different sizes.

The venue's main rooms can be hired separately or opened together to create a large event space of around 5,750 square feet. Organisers can also make use of the lobby for guest arrival or refreshments, and extend an event outdoors by hiring the surrounding grounds. A commercial-grade kitchen is available for caterers, while tables, chairs, event set-up and post-event breakdown are included with rentals. Linen service is available for an additional charge. The flexible rooms allow organisers to plan different parts of an occasion in separate areas, such as a ceremony, meal and dancing, all at one address.

The Community House is also an active gathering place for Sanibel and Captiva, presenting classes, cultural programmes and community events throughout the year.
