The Barnstone

The Barnstone is a family-run event venue on a 50-acre farm just outside Wooster, Ohio. Its restored century-old barn and surrounding grounds provide a rural setting for weddings, receptions and other gatherings, with space for celebrations of up to around 175 guests.

The venue brings several distinct spaces together for an event. Couples can hold an outdoor ceremony on the greenspace beneath mature oak trees, then move into the barn for the reception. The rental also includes a carriage house used as a bar area, a deck for dining, a summer house bridal suite and separate groomsmen quarters. Tables and chairs are provided and set out for guests, while the landscaped lawns, flower beds, shade trees and open farmland offer a backdrop for photographs and time outdoors. There is on-site parking, including dedicated accessible spaces.

Alongside weddings, the property is available for micro-weddings, bridal showers, anniversaries, graduation parties, high-school reunions and other private events. Saturday wedding bookings include access for set-up and rehearsal on the preceding Friday, as well as event-day use. Friday and Sunday rentals are also available for smaller celebrations, with arrangements based on the hours and spaces required. The venue operates seasonally, generally from late April through October.

Food is not prepared on site, so organisers arrange off-site catering or use the permitted outdoor grilling or smoking option. Alcohol may be served but cannot be sold on the premises. The family owners offer tours and can suggest local caterers and other suppliers familiar with the venue.
