The Oakwood at Ryther

The Oakwood at Ryther is a family-run wedding venue set among the meadows and countryside of North Yorkshire, near Tadcaster. Created from a former farm, the venue brings together converted barns, landscaped grounds and on-site accommodation for couples planning a wedding celebration with family and friends.

The site has several spaces for different parts of the day. The Ceremony Hall, with oak arches and a stone floor, provides a setting for vows and can seat up to 140 guests. The Old Grain Store combines original beams and exposed brick with contemporary finishes, a bar, dance floor and mezzanine cocktail lounge. It can also seat up to 140 guests. The courtyard and grounds offer further spaces for guests to gather and for photographs.

The venue is hired exclusively for the wedding weekend, giving couples time to prepare, celebrate and unwind with their guests. On-site accommodation is available in boutique en-suite bedrooms, with the property describing capacity for up to 32 people. Wedding packages can include venue hire, accommodation, furniture, lighting and catering arrangements. Couples can choose from the venue's recommended caterers, while the team can help with supplier choices and planning.

Wedding planning and coordination support is included, with the coordinators available to discuss plans, help organise details and support the event itself. The venue also offers a licensed bar with drinks and cocktails. Its combination of dedicated ceremony and reception spaces, weekend exclusivity, accommodation and planning assistance makes it suited to couples looking for a countryside setting for a multi-day wedding.
