Studio Loft at Ellie Caulkins Opera House

The Studio Loft is a flexible event and performance space on the top floor of the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver. Organisers can book it for weddings and receptions, meetings, cultural programmes, rehearsals and other private events. Its location within the Denver Performing Arts Complex makes it a distinctive option for gatherings in the city centre.

The venue covers approximately 8,000 square feet, including a 3,000-square-foot wood dance floor. A high cathedral ceiling, exposed brick and warm-toned walls give the room a characterful setting that can suit both formal occasions and creative productions. An adjoining pre-function area with a bar provides a place for guests to gather before an event or during a reception. The space also has its own entrance at 14th and Champa, separate from the opera house's main entrance.

Built-in technical facilities include sound and lighting equipment and an audiovisual system with a high-definition projector, supporting presentations, performances and celebrations. The published capacities are up to 400 guests for a reception, 250 for a banquet and 320 in theatre-style seating. These different layouts give event planners room to shape the space around their programme and guest experience.

As part of a major performing arts complex, the Studio Loft is also used for smaller performances and cultural events. The venue's booking information identifies weddings and receptions, meetings and events, rehearsals, civic programming and local performing arts productions among its suitable uses. Organisers can enquire through the Arts Complex venue-rental process about availability and arrangements for their event.
