Shadowland Pavilion

Set beside Lake Michigan and the mouth of the St. Joseph River, Shadowland Pavilion offers event organisers an outdoor setting at Silver Beach County Park in St Joseph, Michigan. The covered pavilion is available for private reservations during the warmer months and suits wedding ceremonies, family celebrations and other group gatherings.

For a ceremony, the space can accommodate around 250 chairs, leaving room for an aisle and ceremony area. Chairs are not provided, so organisers will need to arrange their own. For dining or a more informal gathering, picnic tables beneath the pavilion can seat up to 160 people, and are included with the rental. Electrical outlets and a charcoal grill are also available on site.

A nearby Green Room can be booked alongside the pavilion, providing a private indoor space for changing, cooling off or storing belongings. It includes seating, a table, a garment rack, a mirror, heating and air conditioning. Guests should note that access to the Green Room is via a short walk on paved paths, and its toilets are in the same building but are not directly connected to the room.

Reservations are generally available from mid-May through 30 September. Organisers can check the availability calendar and contact Berrien County Parks to request a reservation. Parking is charged separately for guests. The pavilion is a practical option for planners seeking an open-air lakeside location for a ceremony or gathering, with the key facilities and seasonal arrangements to confirm before booking.
