The Barn at Springhouse

The Barn at Springhouse is a countryside venue for weddings, receptions and private events, set among landscaped gardens in Nicholasville, a short drive from Lexington. Its historic tobacco barn combines original character with event-ready features, including chandeliers, a dance-friendly floor, a stage, a rustic loft and a bar made from reclaimed barn wood. The barn can seat guests for a dinner or reception, while its attached preparation room gives caterers and florists a practical space to work.

The grounds offer several settings for different parts of an event. Couples can hold a ceremony in the meadow, by the gazebo or in the garden areas, then welcome guests to a reception in the barn or beneath a tent on the lawn. Covered pergolas and pavilions at the neighbouring garden centre provide another option for a ceremony or cocktail hour. A shaded cocktail garden, patio and mature plantings create additional places for guests to gather, while the gardens, wooded spring and open fields offer varied backdrops for photographs.

The venue is suitable for celebrations on a range of scales, with the barn, outdoor areas and tented meadow providing flexible layouts. The nearby cottage has lounge space, restrooms and a kitchen, giving wedding parties a place to prepare and relax. Organisers may use vendors of their choice, and the venue can share introductions to preferred suppliers. Event planning and styling are also available to discuss. The team offers tours so planners and couples can explore the property and consider how its spaces could work for their occasion.
