The U Bar & The Grand U Venues

Events at The U offers two private event venues in Belleville, Illinois, for organisers planning celebrations and social gatherings. The spaces suit different occasions and guest lists, from smaller cocktail-style parties to larger seated events. Weddings, birthdays, showers, networking events, family celebrations and other private functions are among the occasions the venues welcome.

The U Bar is an adults-only lounge for events of up to 50 guests. Its cocktail-style layout combines lounge seating with standing space, and bookings can include bartending, music, a DJ booth and a sound system. An enclosed outdoor patio provides a separate area for guests to take a break. Food options are available through Grub at The U, subject to the venue's booking arrangements.

The Grand U is the larger venue, with capacity for up to 220 guests standing or around 150 to 175 seated, depending on the layout. Its facilities include a prep kitchen for caterers, tables and chairs, a bar, an entertainment system and two private dressing suites. A concierge and on-site staff can assist with event-day arrangements, while organisers can discuss catering, styling and other details with the team. The venue also offers a private patio and on-site parking.

Both spaces can be toured by appointment, and bookings can be made online, by phone or in person. The team can discuss available packages, venue features and event requirements with organisers before they choose the setting that best fits their plans.
