The Cider Barn

The Cider Barn is a countryside wedding venue on the Dillington Estate near Ilminster in Somerset. Set among woodland, fields and rolling countryside, the former agricultural barn offers couples a private, characterful setting for their wedding day. Couples can hold a licensed civil ceremony at the barn, or marry elsewhere and use the venue for their wedding breakfast and evening celebration. The barn can seat up to 120 guests for a formal meal. For drinks, dancing and an evening party, the barn and adjoining walled garden can accommodate up to 150 people standing. A stretch tent covers part of the garden, providing a sheltered outdoor area if the weather changes. The nearby church of St Mary’s is another option for couples planning a Church of England ceremony.

The venue offers a flexible, dry-hire approach. Couples choose their own caterers, bar arrangements and wines, with the team able to suggest local suppliers and help new suppliers get acquainted with the site.
