Sorn Castle

Sorn Castle is an exclusive-use venue in the Ayrshire countryside, set within a historic estate beside the River Ayr. Its distinctive castle setting and surrounding grounds provide a private backdrop for weddings, family celebrations, private dinners and corporate retreats. Organisers can hire the castle for a gathering that feels personal and self-contained, with the venue team helping shape the occasion around their plans.

For weddings, the castle's ground-floor rooms can be arranged to suit different parts of the day, from an intimate wedding breakfast to a larger celebration. A marquee beside the castle offers an additional option for bigger gatherings and formal banquets. The team provides bespoke support with planning and the flow of the event, and the venue can accommodate different styles of entertainment and guest experiences.

The property also offers twelve individually designed bedrooms, making it possible for guests to stay on site as part of a private hire or wedding celebration. Dining can be arranged in the castle's grand dining room, which opens onto a stone balcony overlooking the river and surrounding landscape. For corporate organisers, the setting is suited to retreats and hosted occasions that benefit from exclusive use and a distinctive country-house atmosphere.

Located near the village of Sorn, the castle is accessible from Ayrshire's main transport links and airports. Event planners can contact the venue to discuss availability, guest numbers and a tailored arrangement for their occasion. Sorn Castle is particularly suited to organisers seeking a heritage property, private grounds, accommodation and flexible indoor and marquee spaces in one location.
