Voormalige Drafbaan Stadspark is an extensive event site in the green Stadspark, on the south-western edge of Groningen. The venue offers space for organisers of large events looking for an open-air setting for pop concerts, festivals, public celebrations or dance events, for example. The site has its own character thanks to its parkland surroundings and historic grandstands and stables. The former trotting track is a recognisable part of the municipal Stadspark monument.

The municipality is working on further developing the site, with a focus on both large-scale events and recreational use when no event is taking place. The site is designed to accommodate large crowds and has connections for facilities such as electricity, water and internet. Its green surroundings and location in the city make it a special venue for productions that need space for audiences, stages and event infrastructure.

The venue is suitable for concerts, festivals and other large public events, among other things. The municipality of Groningen describes Stadspark-Evenemententerrein as a suitable location for large-scale events and directs organisers with questions about the site to Evenementen Management. Venue-specific rules apply to events, and a permit is required. Organisers can contact the municipality to ask about the options, the facilities available and the conditions for their event. This allows them to check in advance whether the venue suits the scale, format and logistical requirements of their plans.
