The Heath Cafe Bar

Set beside the open landscape of Therfield Heath, The Heath Cafe Bar offers a relaxed setting for private celebrations in Royston. Organisers can hire one of two rooms: the Main Bar, which can host up to 120 guests for a casual party or up to 70 for a seated meal, and the Side Room, suited to gatherings of up to 40 or formal dining for up to 28. Room hire is generally arranged for a five-hour period.

The venue welcomes a range of occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and celebrations of life. Its team can help plan the gathering, prepare the room and provide food and drinks. Menu choices include afternoon tea, buffets, barbecue and sit-down dinners, with the option to discuss a bespoke menu. The bar can be arranged as a pay bar, account bar or open bar, and organisers can discuss arrival and toast drinks. Food and drink are supplied by the venue, with arrangements available for celebration cakes and agreed wine corkage.

Hosts may arrange their own entertainment, or ask the team for help finding local performers and suppliers. Room dressing and setup can also be discussed when booking. The Heath is a short distance from Royston town centre and provides free parking, making it a convenient choice for guests travelling to a private event. Its welcoming cafe-bar atmosphere and countryside outlook offer a distinctive backdrop for bringing friends and family together.
