The Garden Room at Hampton Court Palace

The Garden Room at Hampton Court Palace is a private event venue for organisers seeking a distinctive setting for celebrations, business gatherings and wedding receptions. Set within the historic palace grounds, this light-filled, 1920s-style orangery combines period character with a flexible indoor space and an adjoining walled garden reserved for event guests.

The room can host seated events for up to 180 people or standing receptions for as many as 300. Its layout and timings can be arranged around the occasion, with daytime and evening hire available. Late extensions can allow celebrations to continue until 1 am. The venue suits corporate away days, meetings, team-building sessions, networking, private dining, summer parties and weddings, as well as other private events.

The garden provides room for outdoor entertaining, drinks receptions, lawn games and barbecues, creating an easy flow between indoor and outdoor parts of an event. Organisers can also arrange for their guests to explore parts of the palace, or include a private guided tour led by a palace host. The Garden Room may be paired with other palace spaces and gardens, offering further options for an event itinerary, a larger reception or a wedding day that moves between different settings.

For couples, the venue offers a memorable backdrop for ceremonies and receptions, with palace interiors and gardens available for wedding photographs. Whether planning an intimate daytime gathering, a corporate occasion or an evening celebration, event planners can discuss room arrangements and timings with the venue team to shape the hire around their plans.
