Tan House Newland

Tan House Newland is a countryside venue in the Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, offering a private setting for weddings, celebrations and group stays. Its house, gardens, meadows and woodland give organisers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces to shape a gathering around their guests and occasion.

The venue welcomes groups for boutique and micro weddings, hen and stag weekends, milestone birthdays, family reunions, baby showers, retreats, creative workshops and corporate away days. The main gathering option includes accommodation for up to 18 guests, alongside use of the Tan House Teepee. The Teepee has a central fire pit, seating, a bar area, lighting, tables and chairs, heating, a music system and a photo booth area, making it suitable for shared meals and evening celebrations.

For organisers planning a longer stay or a smaller gathering, nearby accommodation options provide additional configurations for groups. Outdoor facilities include gardens and grounds, hot tubs, a pizza oven, barbecue and spaces for guests to relax together. The property’s resident animals and distinctive garden details add character to the setting.

Tan House can also help tailor the occasion with concierge support and optional extras. These include private catering from an in-house chef, bespoke dining, grazing tables, afternoon tea, celebration styling, wellness sessions, dance classes and creative activities. Organisers can discuss their plans directly with the hosts to create a stay and event that suits the group, whether the priority is a relaxed weekend together, a special celebration or a small wedding with accommodation on site.
