Historic Ford Hangar

The Historic Ford Hangar is a distinctive event venue at Lansing Municipal Airport in Lansing, Illinois. This former aircraft hangar offers event organisers a large, open setting with a strong sense of history, natural light and high ceilings. Its adaptable interior can be arranged for weddings, corporate functions, cultural celebrations, community gatherings and other special occasions.

With around 13,000 square feet of space, the hangar gives organisers room to shape the layout around their event, whether that means a reception, dinner, dance floor or a more informal gathering. The venue provides basic lighting and electrical support, while its historic architecture and airport surroundings create a memorable backdrop for photographs and guest experiences. Prospective organisers can arrange a tour to see the space and discuss their plans before applying to book.

The venue is available for events during its seasonal rental period, from May through October. Organisers apply for use of the space and should plan to arrange many event essentials themselves. These may include catering, furniture, entertainment, decorations and portable toilet facilities. Alcohol service, when approved, is supplied through the Village of Lansing. Parking is available in the airport area, with around 150 spaces noted for event guests.

The Historic Ford Hangar suits planners seeking a flexible, characterful alternative to a conventional function room. Its open layout allows each event to have its own look and flow, while the venue's aviation heritage gives celebrations and business gatherings a setting guests are likely to remember.
