Historic Taylor Barn

Historic Taylor Barn is a family-owned venue on a working farm near Lawrence, Kansas, available for weddings and selected events from May to October. Its distinctive limestone barn dates to 1879, giving celebrations a historic, rural setting with original character and countryside surroundings.

Couples can arrange ceremonies and receptions indoors or outdoors, using the barn, porch and terrace in different combinations. The venue offers wedding packages for larger gatherings, weekend celebrations, brunch weddings and intimate ceremonies. Some packages include time for decorating and rehearsal, while others provide a shorter event window. Tables, chairs, linens, bar areas, refrigeration and freezer space are among the listed facilities and inclusions. For smaller groups, an intimate wedding option includes an on-site coordinator. The team invites prospective clients to arrange a tour and discuss their plans.

The barn also accommodates private celebrations such as graduation and birthday parties. These packages include use of the barn and surrounding area, seating and tables, linens, an indoor bar and several practical serving and storage facilities. Depending on the package, guests can also make use of the fire pit when weather permits. Parking attendants are included in the listed event packages.

The venue shares a preferred-vendor list covering catering, DJs, florists, photography and transport, helping organisers explore local options. Planning services are offered through its designated event-planning partner. With a combination of historic architecture, farm scenery and practical event provisions, Historic Taylor Barn offers a bookable setting for wedding celebrations and selected private events. Organisers should contact the venue directly to discuss guest numbers, package availability and current arrangements.
