Ole Opera House Event Center

Ole Opera House Event Center offers a distinctive historic setting for weddings, receptions, private parties, concerts and business meetings in Guthrie, Kentucky. The venue occupies the upper floor of an 1872 opera house and can host gatherings of up to 180 people. Its original stage, hardwood floors, stained beadboard ceiling and period details give the room plenty of character for celebrations and other occasions.

Organisers have access to a flexible space that can be arranged for different kinds of events. Tables and more than 140 chairs are included in the rental, with a choice of rectangular and round tables. The venue can also provide help with setting up its equipment in many cases. An elevator offers accessible entry, the building is climate-controlled for year-round use, and there are two bathrooms, including one that can serve as a bridal preparation room.

For food and drinks, a restaurant and bar are located downstairs, while organisers can also make their own catering arrangements. Rules for bringing or selling alcohol depend on the type of event and applicable permits. Decorating is permitted, subject to the venue's guidance, and renters are expected to clear their materials after the event.

The event centre is available to hire by the half or full day, with rates varying by day of the week. Located in downtown Guthrie, it offers a characterful option for couples, businesses and other organisers seeking a historic venue for a gathering in the area.
