Shropshire Petal Fields

Shropshire Petal Fields is a seasonal outdoor destination near Newport in Shropshire, set among fields of British-grown flowers. When the blooms are at their best, visitors can wander through colourful displays of delphiniums, cornflowers, sunflowers and other wildflowers, with the precise location of the fields able to vary from year to year as crops rotate around the family farm.

The experience is designed for a relaxed day out, with a woodland walk, picnic spots and an on-site café serving drinks, snacks and ice cream. Visitors can browse freshly cut flowers and enjoy time outdoors with family or friends. Seasonal opening dates and tickets are announced ahead of each summer visit, and the programme may include special sessions and activities.

For organisers looking for an outdoor setting, the fields can also be hired exclusively. This offers a distinctive countryside backdrop for suitable private events and photography sessions. The FAQ advises prospective hirers to get in touch directly to discuss exclusive use, so organisers can check the available dates and arrangements for their plans.

The project is run in partnership by Shropshire Petals, the flower-growing farm known for biodegradable petal confetti and dried flowers, and Shropshire Festivals, an events team based in the region. The fields are a seasonal operation rather than a year-round venue, so planners should check the official website for the next opening season and current hire information before making arrangements.
