Southwind

Southwind is a wedding and event venue in Shannon, Mississippi, a short drive from Tupelo. Set among mature oak trees beside a lake, the property offers several indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies, receptions, dinners and other gatherings. It also welcomes family celebrations and corporate retreats.

The main barn provides a distinctive setting for a wedding or reception. Its upper level includes a bridal room opening onto a loft-style balcony, while the ground floor has a separate lounge for the groom. Sliding doors lead from the barn to a patio overlooking the water and trees, giving organisers an outdoor option close to the main building.

Next to the barn, the pavilion offers a further 2,400 square feet of flexible space. Its wooded and lakeside views make it suitable for a reception, dinner or other occasion, and the venue says it can be decorated to suit the event. Together, these spaces give couples and organisers a choice of settings within one property.

Southwind offers weekday wedding bookings and full wedding-weekend access. The weekday option runs from morning until late evening, while the weekend package allows time for rehearsal, decorating, supplier set-up and the celebration itself. Organisers can contact the venue to discuss availability and arrange a personal tour. Its location near Tupelo, choice of event spaces and wedding-focused packages make it an option for couples seeking a countryside setting in Northeast Mississippi.
