Grube Ferdinand 12, 53577 Neustadt (Wied), Germany

Grube Ferdinand is a historic event venue surrounded by greenery near Neustadt (Wied), particularly suited to couples who want to celebrate their wedding in a setting full of character. The building was once an iron ore mine and has been renovated for use as an event venue. Its historic surroundings are combined with modern facilities for celebrations and gatherings.

At its heart is a large function room with an open gallery. According to the website, it can accommodate wedding parties of up to 150 guests and is suitable for dining, dancing and celebrating together. A vaulted bar provides a separate area for drinks and socialising. Outside, there is a beer garden, a roof terrace and a green area with fruit trees. The meadow can be used for civil ceremonies and other outdoor activities, while the terrace is an ideal spot for a drinks reception.

The venue hires out its event building, including furniture, utilities and end-of-event cleaning. Organisers can also request service staff and help with setting up and taking down. Drinks are available from the venue, and catering can be provided by external suppliers or in-house. Sound and lighting equipment can also be hired for events. Grube Ferdinand is therefore particularly well suited to weddings and private celebrations where indoor and outdoor spaces are to be used together. There is also a large car park on site for guests.
