Round Chapel

Round Chapel is a distinctive event venue in Lower Clapton, Hackney, set inside a Grade II* listed former church. Its large auditorium offers event organisers an atmospheric setting for weddings, private celebrations, public events, concerts, talks, debates, film screenings and food festivals. The building's historic character, generous proportions and natural light give events a strong sense of place, while the flexible hall can be arranged for different formats.

The venue is available on a dry-hire basis. Organisers hire the space and arrange their own catering and other event services, with tables and chairs provided as part of the hire. The auditorium booking includes access to the kitchen, dressing room and toilets, furniture set-up to the agreed requirements, and a venue staff member on site for building-related assistance. The main hall can accommodate up to 300 people in a theatre-style layout or up to 240 for a wedding reception or cabaret arrangement. Standing events can host up to 500 people on the ground floor, while concerts and recitals may use the balcony to increase capacity, subject to prior agreement.

Round Chapel is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, making it possible to hold a ceremony and reception in the same historic setting. The venue also welcomes organisers planning performances, community gatherings and creative projects. Step-free auditorium access is available via a ramp, and accessible toilet facilities are on site. Its central Hackney location is within walking distance of local Overground stations and is served by several bus routes. Organisers can arrange a visit and discuss their event requirements with the venue team before booking.
