Steeple Square

Steeple Square is a historic event venue in downtown Dubuque, Iowa, offering distinctive spaces for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, private parties, corporate gatherings, memorial services and celebrations of life. The venue occupies the former St. Mary's Parish church, with restored architectural details that give events a memorable setting.

Honkamp Hall is the main event space, suited to both intimate occasions and larger celebrations. Wedding parties can also make use of a dedicated Bride's Room and the McCoy Multipurpose Room for preparation or additional event activities. The lower level includes the BVM Community Center, further rooms available for hire and a culinary kitchen. A campus courtyard offers an outdoor area, while on-site and nearby parking, accessible parking and lift access help with guest arrival and movement around the building.

Organisers can contact the events team to arrange a tour, discuss rates and availability, and plan a booking around their event requirements. The venue provides a flexible backdrop for different formats, with its historic character and range of spaces supporting ceremonies, receptions, dinners, meetings and community occasions. Hiring the building also contributes to Steeple Square's non-profit work in the local community, including historic preservation and community programmes.

Whether planning a wedding day, a company gathering or a celebration of life, event organisers can enquire about the available rooms and arrange a visit to see which spaces suit their plans.
