Teachout Events offers a distinctive third-floor venue in Des Moines' Historic East Village, in the Hohberger Building. The restored historic setting combines original architectural character with a simple, flexible loft-style interior, giving organisers room to shape the space around their own event design.

The venue is suited to wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, corporate functions and fundraisers. Its event space covers approximately 6,500 square feet, including a main reception area, a separate cocktail-hour space, a coat-check room, a preparation room, a catering set-up area and private restrooms. The published maximum capacity is 160 people for a ceremony or reception.

Bookings include access to a range of tables and wooden folding chairs, along with beverage coolers. Organisers can choose their own caterers, florists and rental suppliers, and may bring their own alcohol subject to the venue's stated arrangements and applicable local requirements. Wedding bookings can include access across the weekend, allowing time for set-up, a rehearsal dinner, the ceremony and the reception. The venue also considers some weekday and non-wedding bookings, including corporate and non-profit events.
