Cheney Mansion

Cheney Mansion is a historic event venue in Oak Park, Illinois, offering an atmospheric setting for weddings, private celebrations and business occasions. Organisers can hire individual rooms, several indoor spaces, the outdoor grounds or a combination of the house and gardens, with options for gatherings ranging from small events to larger occasions of up to 200 guests.

The mansion's period character, reception rooms and landscaped grounds give planners a distinctive backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, birthdays, graduations, memorials and other family celebrations. Couples can also enquire about petite wedding arrangements. For corporate organisers, the venue welcomes meetings, receptions and other company events, while its indoor facilities include tables and chairs, Wi-Fi, an audio system, a projector and screen, a microphone and a lectern.

Outdoor areas include a patio, greenhouse and garden spaces. A seasonal tent over the patio can help keep an outdoor gathering sheltered when the weather changes. The venue's event team works with organisers on planning and can provide information about recommended caterers and other practical arrangements. Catering and tableware are arranged separately, so planners can coordinate those details with their chosen supplier.

Set within a residential neighbourhood, Cheney Mansion has event policies and finishing times that organisers should consider when planning their schedule. The team can discuss availability and help prospective clients understand which rooms and outdoor areas suit their guest numbers and plans. With its historic interiors, garden setting and dedicated event facilities, the mansion offers a characterful location for both personal occasions and corporate gatherings.
