El Torreon KC, inc

El Torreon KC is a historic Kansas City venue available for weddings, receptions, private celebrations, business gatherings and arts or music events. The ballroom building first opened in 1927 and offers a distinctive setting with a long connection to the city’s entertainment history. Its character makes a memorable backdrop, while the flexible event spaces can be arranged for different occasions and guest numbers.

The main ballroom accommodates up to 250 seated guests or 286 in a cocktail-style layout. A separate front event area can host up to 120 people and may suit a smaller gathering or drinks reception. The venue also lists preparation rooms for wedding parties, a prep kitchen and space for meetings. Organisers can hire the venue for the day, giving them time to set up and welcome suppliers before guests arrive.

Venue hire includes tables, chairs, linens, Wi-Fi, parking and an on-site staff member. Couples and organisers can bring their own suppliers, and the team can share a list of preferred caterers. Catering is not provided in-house. Beverage packages and licensed bartenders are available, while audio and video, additional lighting, security and wedding coordination can be arranged on request.

With its historic ballroom, practical facilities and flexible approach to suppliers, El Torreon KC can suit planners looking for a characterful setting for a wedding, reception, company event or celebration in Midtown Kansas City. Organisers can contact the venue to discuss room layouts, available services and a tour.
