The Mermaid and Her Fisherman

The Mermaid and Her Fisherman is an intimate event venue in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, for organisers planning smaller celebrations and gatherings. The space is presented as a setting for micro weddings, wedding-related occasions, milestone celebrations and private events, with a welcoming character suited to couples and hosts seeking a more personal atmosphere.

The venue combines indoor and outdoor areas, offering organisers different ways to shape the feel of their gathering. Its setting in the historic district adds a distinctive local backdrop, while the team can work with hosts on event details from the planning stage through to the occasion itself. This makes the space a potential fit for celebrations where atmosphere and a tailored approach matter as much as the practical arrangements.

Alongside private hire, the venue hosts intimate music performances and wellness activities. Its recurring Red Bird concert series features local musicians in a listening-room setting, and the programme also includes classes such as yoga, meditation, breathwork and sound bowl sessions. These activities show the space can accommodate a range of small, experience-led gatherings as well as private celebrations.

The property also offers holiday accommodation in a restored bungalow, with several individually styled rooms. This can be useful for guests looking to stay nearby, although the venue's event offering is the main point of interest for organisers. Set in New Smyrna Beach, The Mermaid and Her Fisherman provides a characterful option for wedding celebrations and other intimate occasions, with indoor and outdoor surroundings that can help create a relaxed, memorable gathering.
