The Amish Barn at Edge

Set amid 76 acres of Texan countryside near Hearne, The Amish Barn at Edge offers a rustic setting for weddings and a wide range of private celebrations. The property brings together an Amish-built barn, open grounds, a farmhouse, a blacksmith shop, a belltower and a small vineyard, giving event planners several distinctive backdrops to consider.

Weddings are a central part of the venue's offering, while birthdays, family reunions, baby showers, formal dances, wine tastings and celebrations of life are also welcome. The barn can seat around 200 to 225 guests with space for a dance floor, and the owners note that larger gatherings have also taken place. Outdoor ceremony areas and flexible parking arrangements allow organisers to shape the event around their plans.

Bookings can include time for preparation and clear-up as well as the event itself, or an hourly option is available for occasions that need less set-up. Venue staff, directed parking, lantern lighting and waste management are included. Couples can also use the grounds for bridal photographs, and a blacksmith demonstration can be arranged on request. Tables and wooden garden chairs are available as optional additions, while clients are free to choose their own suppliers.

A furnished four-bedroom farmhouse is available for overnight stays. The venue has electricity, running water and Wi-Fi across the property. Tours are arranged by appointment, giving organisers a chance to see the barn and grounds before making plans.
