The Mill at Sugar Grove Reception Hall

The Mill at Sugar Grove Reception Hall is a rustic event venue on a working farm near the Illinois and Indiana state line, welcoming couples and organisers for weddings, receptions and other celebrations. Its 1950s barn provides more than 6,500 square feet of indoor event space, with a ballroom, a separate reception room and a foyer. The ballroom can accommodate up to 278 guests in the venue's listed package layout, while the reception room is available on its own or alongside the ballroom.

Outside, an adaptable pavilion offers space for ceremonies and gatherings, with sides available for use in unsettled weather. Couples can choose from several ceremony locations around the grounds, including the barn, pavilion and areas overlooking the creek. The surrounding mature trees and open farm setting provide a rural backdrop for photographs and outdoor activities.

Rental options include full-day packages as well as shorter bookings for selected spaces. Depending on the package, the venue can provide tables, chairs, linens, table set-up and take-down, changing rooms, kitchenettes, heating and cooling, and a selection of decorations. Some packages also include additional services from event suppliers, while organisers can select their own vendors subject to the venue's requirements. Caterers must be approved and provide full service. The property also has guest parking, restrooms and a backup generator. With indoor and outdoor settings in one location, the venue can support both the ceremony and reception, or host a more compact celebration in a single room.
