The Thomas House c. 1848

The Thomas House c. 1848 is a historic venue in downtown Camden, South Carolina, offering indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings, showers, birthday parties, garden gatherings, meetings and small conferences. Its restored period character gives events a distinctive setting, while a selection of rooms and outdoor areas lets organisers shape the space around their plans.

Inside, the Julia and Addie rooms connect to create a larger gathering area, with access to the kitchen for event preparations and catering arrangements. The LeCriox Parlour provides additional seating or can be used as space for dancing. A separate conference room seats up to eight people and suits smaller meetings or private appointments. The house also has a kitchen with a coffee bar, warming drawers, a microwave, a refrigerator and a freezer for organisers and caterers to use.

Outside, the property includes welcoming porches and a private garden of more than an acre, with mature trees and room to gather in the open air. The screened porch overlooks the grounds and can be adapted for different event needs. Together, the indoor rooms, porches and garden offer options for both intimate occasions and larger gatherings, with the venue available for half-day and full-day rental as well as private meetings.

Organisers can arrange a tour to see the spaces before booking. The Thomas House is a venue rather than an event organiser, giving clients a historic Camden location to bring together their own guests, plans and chosen suppliers.
