Event Northumbria

Event Northumbria is a city centre venue in Newcastle upon Tyne, offering a collection of adaptable spaces for organisers planning events of different sizes and styles. Options range from small meeting and training rooms to large halls suited to conferences, exhibitions, receptions, celebrations and live events. The largest space, Domain, can host up to 1,000 guests for a reception, while the venue's other rooms provide settings for more intimate gatherings, break-out sessions and informal networking.

The spaces can be arranged for different formats, including theatre-style presentations, banqueting, cabaret and boardroom meetings. Habita is promoted for weddings, celebrations, drinks receptions and product launches, while Reds provides a private party setting with a bar, stage and balcony. Smaller spaces include the Greenhouse, with an optional terrace, and flexible training rooms available for hourly hire. Stage 2 offers a theatre-style environment with retractable seating and backstage facilities.

Organisers can also arrange technical support and equipment. Standard AV packages include sound, projection, microphones and lighting, with technicians available, and additional equipment can be discussed to suit the event. The venue has an events team to assist with planning and on-the-day support, alongside bar services and catering arrangements. External suppliers may also be used by prior arrangement.

Located within Northumbria Students' Union, the venue is accessible by public transport and road, with limited on-site parking for event clients subject to availability. Flexible half-day and full-day room hire is offered, and organisers can enquire about spaces, event requirements and a tailored quote.
