The Obici House llc

The Obici House is a historic mansion in Suffolk, Virginia, available to hire for weddings and a range of private and business events. Set within Sleepy Hole Golf Course, the property has views towards the Nansemond River and combines period architecture with spaces for both indoor and outdoor gatherings.

For weddings, organisers can choose indoor rooms in the house, an outdoor pergola ceremony setting or a tented reception area. Indoor rentals include the main floor, with access to the upstairs, balcony and bridal dressing suite. The venue lists indoor capacity for up to 150 guests. The pergola provides a riverside backdrop for ceremonies, while the front steps offer another outdoor ceremony option. Wedding hire includes tables, chairs and a dance floor for indoor events, as well as lighting and linen options.

The house also welcomes anniversary parties, birthdays, life celebrations, business meetings, workshops and retreats. Private event bookings are available by the hour, with the main floor offered for gatherings of up to 100 guests. Organisers can arrange catering through the venue's onsite option or preferred caterers, and may also make their own food arrangements subject to the venue's conditions. Additional items such as upgraded linens, specialty chairs and serving pieces can be requested. Venue staff are present for opening and closing, with extra service staff available depending on the event.

The Obici House gives event planners a characterful historic setting with flexible indoor and outdoor choices, useful furnishings and a dedicated contact process for event enquiries.
