Malek Buck Horn Creek Ranch

Malek Buck Horn Creek Ranch is a family-run guest ranch in Atascosa County, Texas, offering a countryside setting for weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions, private parties and fundraising events. Its 4,000-acre property combines a lodge and event facilities with wide-open outdoor space, giving organisers options for both indoor gatherings and activity-led programmes.

The lodge has 22 guest rooms, each with two queen beds, along with modern amenities, Wi-Fi, HDTVs, a smart board and a games room. A large dining area and full-service kitchen support multi-day stays, with meals prepared on site or brought in by a caterer. Organisers can shape a group visit around meetings, shared meals and activities, and the ranch team can help plan the outing or event.

Outdoor options include sporting clays, skeet, trap and five-stand shooting, as well as guided wildlife tours, fishing, bird watching and hiking. The ranch has stocked lakes and a dedicated sporting clay course, which can also host group competitions and fundraisers. Hunting trips are another part of the ranch's offer, with packages that include accommodation and meals.

For event planners, the combination of overnight accommodation, dining space and activities makes the ranch suited to groups looking for a private destination rather than a conventional town-centre venue. It welcomes business groups and wedding parties as well as families, and offers a setting where guests can spend time together on site. Organisers should contact the ranch to discuss their requirements, event arrangements and current availability.
