Athens Cotton Press

Athens Cotton Press is an event venue in Athens, Georgia, set in a restored early-1900s cotton press building. Its 8,000-square-foot interior pairs exposed brick, high ceilings and polished concrete floors with a flexible, open layout. Organisers can adapt the space for a range of occasions, from formal dinners and receptions to conferences, fashion shows, university functions and community gatherings.

The venue welcomes weddings and rehearsal dinners, as well as corporate events, galas, holiday parties, fundraisers, Greek life celebrations, proms and reunions. Its published capacities include up to 500 guests for a cocktail reception or banquet, 400 for a reception with a dance floor, 300 for a conference and 800 in auditorium seating. An outdoor area offers an additional option for events.

Planning support and in-house services make the venue a practical choice for organisers seeking more than an empty room. The team can help coordinate food, flowers, décor and event details, while the venue lists catering, bar service, floral design and audiovisual facilities among its amenities. Epting Events, which owns and operates Athens Cotton Press, is its preferred catering partner.

Located about a mile from downtown Athens, the venue also provides on-site parking and wheelchair-accessible facilities. Its historic industrial character and adaptable space suit both polished celebrations and larger gatherings, giving event planners room to shape the setting around the occasion and guest experience.
