Michael J. Quill Irish Cultural & Sports Centre

The Michael J. Quill Irish Cultural & Sports Centre offers outdoor and covered event spaces for organisers in East Durham, New York. Set on extensive grounds in the Catskills, the centre combines a large pavilion, open festival areas and sports facilities, giving organisers options for gatherings of different sizes and styles.

The festival grounds are available for hire from April to October. Their 12,500-square-foot pavilion can accommodate vendors, performers and exhibitors, while two roofed vendor sheds provide additional space for refreshments or concessions. The enclosed, lit site also includes permanent toilets and a spacious gravel car park. Organisers can consider the grounds for festivals, fairs, markets, concerts, exhibitions, fundraisers, corporate gatherings and private celebrations.

For sporting events, the centre rents regulation-size fields for Gaelic football, football and baseball, as well as the John E. Lawe Memorial Stadium and its surrounding athletic fields. Grandstand seating is available at the sports complex, making it suitable for competitions, tournaments and larger outdoor occasions.

Couples can also explore the grounds for an outdoor wedding ceremony or reception. The venue's Irish heritage setting, pavilion and open-air landscape offer a distinctive backdrop, and the centre has a historic Donegal cottage available for a wedding-night stay. Venue hire is the focus for event organisers, with the site's cultural programme and sporting traditions adding character to the location. Organisers can contact the centre to arrange a tour and discuss availability and facilities for their plans.
