Marvel Hall

Marvel Hall is a licensed event venue in Whitley Bay, set within the former St Edward's church, which dates from 1911. Its open-plan interior, high vaulted ceiling and light maple floor give organisers a distinctive setting for celebrations and gatherings near the coast.

The hall is available for wedding receptions, children's parties, birthdays, engagements, retirement celebrations and other evening events. It also welcomes daytime occasions such as christenings, celebrations of life and exhibitions. The venue does not hold a wedding licence, so couples can use it for a reception rather than a legal ceremony on site.

The adaptable layout can be arranged to suit different occasions, with tables and chairs that can be set out to fit the event. A fully licensed bar is part of the hire package, and venue staff are included to operate it. Organisers can discuss package options and bar-spend arrangements directly with the team. Hall-only hire is not offered.

Located in Whitley Bay town centre, Marvel Hall is within walking distance of Whitley Bay and Monkseaton Metro stations. There is also a small car park. Its historic character, flexible space and built-in bar make it a practical option for planners seeking a distinctive local venue for a private celebration or reception.
