The Newhall Nest

The Newhall Nest is a private event venue in San Francisco's Financial District, offering an indoor penthouse space alongside a rooftop deck for weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. The venue has around 4,000 square feet indoors and a 2,000-square-foot roof deck, with capacity for events of up to 80 guests. Its elevated setting, wrap-around windows and views across the city and bay give receptions and gatherings a distinctive backdrop.

Organisers can use the spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions, company events, client gatherings, team offsites, meetings, holiday parties, birthdays and other private occasions. The roof deck has a commercial bar setup, outdoor television, bistro lighting and seating for more than 30. Indoors, the venue includes a lounge-style living room, a conference room for smaller meetings or catered dinners, a game room and a kitchenette. A sound system is available throughout, and the venue also lists audiovisual equipment and presentation facilities for business events.

The different rooms allow planners to shape the occasion, whether they need a welcoming reception area, a more formal meeting arrangement or a place for guests to mingle outdoors. The kitchen can be used by preferred caterers or organisers' own vendors, subject to the venue's requirements. The venue also provides a list of suggested local suppliers, while allowing clients to bring in other vendors who meet its insurance conditions. An event coordinator can discuss availability, pricing and the use of the spaces with organisers. Located at 260 California Street, the venue is close to the Embarcadero area and provides an intimate rooftop option for events in central San Francisco.
