The Boathouse at Bridgeway Lakes

The Boathouse at Bridgeway Lakes is a city-run venue in Bridgeway Lakes Park, West Sacramento, available to hire for smaller gatherings throughout the year, subject to seasonal availability. Its lakeside setting and choice of indoor and outdoor space make it suitable for birthday celebrations, bridal and baby showers, meetings, intimate weddings and other private events.

Organisers can reserve the Community Room, the patio or both spaces together. The room can accommodate up to 75 guests, while the room and patio combined can host up to 100. The venue provides folding chairs and a selection of rectangular and round tables. Private restrooms are available, and renters can request access to a refrigerator and ice machine. The park setting also gives guests access to nearby outdoor amenities, including a playground and a seasonal splash park.

The Boathouse is intended for smaller events rather than large-scale functions. Parking is shared with other park visitors, so availability is not guaranteed. Reservations must be submitted at least 60 days before the event, and applications are reviewed before a booking is confirmed. Renters are responsible for arranging their event set-up and clearing away decorations and materials afterwards. Liability insurance is required, with additional liquor liability coverage needed when alcohol is served. The venue does not offer a catering service as part of the room hire, so organisers should plan their food and drink arrangements separately.

For event planners seeking a practical community space with indoor and patio options beside a lake, the Boathouse provides a straightforward setting for gatherings of up to 100 people.
