Sommelier in a Day organises wine activities for businesses and private groups. The sommelier comes to the organiser's venue and leads an interactive tasting or workshop where participants learn more about wine in an accessible way. The activities are suited to a corporate party, team outing, dinner, evening with friends or another gathering where sharing a tasting experience is central.

During the sessions, participants discover different grape varieties and wine styles, from sparkling and white to red and dessert wines. They learn about the origins and characteristics of wine, serving temperatures, glasses and storage. Food pairing is an important part of the experience: with complementary bites, guests discover how flavours can enhance or change one another. Participants are encouraged to taste, compare and ask questions themselves, rather than simply listening to a presentation.

The session can be tailored to the group. For example, organisers can choose a guided evening where they provide the wine and food themselves, a tasting with carefully selected food and wine pairings, or a more extensive programme with a chef. There is also a format focused on sparkling wines and an informal wine activity specifically designed to build team spirit. A session usually lasts a few hours. Glasses, plates and cutlery can be brought along when needed, and the wine selection is carefully put together.

The experience is designed for groups of various sizes and can be hosted in Dutch, English, French or German. Topics and elements of the programme can also be discussed, for example a focus on a particular wine region. This gives event planners a guided activity that combines wine knowledge, tasting together and socialising.
