Fresh Food Academy is a small-scale event venue at Aspergeboerderij Sandur in Nieuw-Amsterdam. The space centres on cooking, fresh produce and sharing an experience. At its heart is a professional open kitchen, where guests can watch the chef at work and take part in a workshop or cooking activity themselves.

Organisers can book tailor-made group activities, for example with colleagues, family, friends or an association. The programme includes cookery workshops, culinary gatherings and packages that combine food with other activities. Options include preparing tapas together, taking part in a team cook-off or enjoying a dinner where several courses are prepared live. Those who would rather not cook themselves can sit down to lunch or dinner and enjoy dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

The venue is also suitable for groups who want to prepare and serve a meal themselves. The space can accommodate up to 50 people for dinner. The options and arrangements are agreed in consultation, based on the group and the activity they have in mind. A visit can therefore be arranged as a relaxed get-together, an informative workshop or a culinary programme for a team outing.

As well as group activities, Fresh Food Academy runs workshops and educational programmes about asparagus, vegetables and food preparation. The farm setting gives gatherings a distinctive character and offers opportunities for excursions and guided tours. Fresh Food Academy is therefore particularly suited to organisers looking for a venue where cooking, tasting and taking part in an activity together are all part of the programme.
