Huize Maas

Vismarkt 52, 9711 KV Groningen, Netherlands

Huize Maas is an event venue available for hire on the Vismarkt, right in the centre of Groningen. Its rooms are suitable for a wide range of gatherings, from a small birthday party or dinner to a business party, wedding, gala, concert or workshop. Depending on the room and layout chosen, it can accommodate groups of around 50 to 850 guests.

The Marktzaal is at the front of the building and overlooks the Vismarkt. Its grand café-style atmosphere is well suited to drinks receptions, dinners and smaller parties. It has a spacious bar and a professional sound system. A stage can be provided on request. The larger Maaszaal can be adapted to suit the size of the group using flexible partitions. This room has an 8 by 6 metre stage, a screen, projector, microphone and professional lighting and sound equipment. The rooms can also be combined for larger events.

The venue offers organisers a central place for guests to gather for a programme, performance or evening party. The dance floor and long bar are well suited to events with music and entertainment, while the technical facilities also cater for speakers and presentations. Huize Maas also has a city café where guests can enjoy food and drinks. Organisers can contact the venue directly to ask about the room, their preferred date, the expected number of guests and the options for their programme. This makes it possible to tailor the arrangements to both a business meeting and a personal celebration.
