Colonel's Landing

Set among open countryside near Water Valley, Mississippi, Colonel's Landing offers event planners a peaceful rural setting for weddings, family gatherings and other celebrations. The property brings together several distinct spaces, giving organisers options for ceremonies, receptions and relaxed outdoor occasions.

A restored 19th-century church provides a characterful setting for ceremonies and smaller gatherings, with seating for around 180 guests. Its air conditioning, adjustable lighting, dressing room and renovated bathroom add practical comfort while retaining the building's historic feel. For outdoor events, the grounds include a 40-by-40-foot pavilion, gazebos, covered seating areas and a five-acre lake, all set within 140 acres of farmland and greenery.

The open-plan cabin offers a welcoming indoor option, with a full kitchen, large dining tables, living areas and sleeping space for up to eight people. Its covered area and serving station can support buffet-style celebrations, while the lake-facing porch and surrounding landscape create places for guests to gather between planned moments. Canoes, boats, picnic tables and play equipment are also available across the grounds.

The venue welcomes wedding ceremonies and receptions, reunions, birthday and graduation parties, holiday celebrations and live music events. Event planners can ask about table and chair rentals, arrange a tour and discuss the spaces and pricing directly with the team. Colonel's Landing is around ten minutes from Water Valley's Main Street and approximately 35 minutes from downtown Oxford, offering a country escape within reach of both towns.
