Parktheater Lahr offers event organisers an established venue for theatre, concerts, cabaret, dance and other cultural events. The venue is located right next to the town park and, alongside the municipal cultural programme, is also used by regional cultural institutions and agencies from outside the area. Municipal venues such as Parktheater can be hired for events by arrangement.
The auditorium has fixed, tiered seating in the stalls and circle, with space for up to 690 visitors. This makes the theatre particularly suitable for events featuring a stage programme and a seated audience. The spacious stage has an orchestra pit for around 50 musicians. A concert grand piano, artists' dressing rooms and a covered loading bay complete the facilities for productions and touring shows.
The existing lighting and sound equipment also supports the staging of live performances. Event planners can obtain technical details and terms of use from the relevant departments of the town of Lahr. Hire arrangements are managed by the Department of Culture, Music and Media. The venue also houses a restaurant serving Greek cuisine, with a terrace overlooking the town park. Parktheater is accessible to visitors with limited mobility and provides them with guidance on how to access the venue.
Whether it's a theatre performance, concert, dance evening or another event with a stage and auditorium, Parktheater combines a classic theatre setting with professional facilities and central municipal support.
