BFI Stephen Street

BFI Stephen Street offers bookable screening and meeting spaces in London's West End for organisers planning private events. The venue is suited to press and industry screenings, private film viewings, presentations, interviews, meetings, launches, screening receptions and parties. Its cinema facilities also support technical checks and screenings in formats ranging from DCP to 16mm film, subject to the requirements of the booking.

Two screening rooms each seat up to 36 guests. Meeting rooms can accommodate up to 24 people in a boardroom layout or up to 40 in theatre style. The venue has three meeting rooms, with air conditioning, natural light and modern meeting facilities. Rooms can be hired by the hour, for half or full days, or in the evening, making the site practical for short bookings as well as longer sessions. Same-day screening bookings may be possible, depending on availability.

For receptions, launches and parties, the venue provides a central setting with hospitality options from Stephen St Kitchen. Organisers can discuss room arrangements and event requirements with the BFI's events team. Screening hire includes in-house audiovisual equipment, support from an event coordinator and a projectionist. The BFI can also advise on additional arrangements, such as cloakroom provision and security. Screening rights for third-party films may need to be cleared, and the screening rooms are hired for private audiences rather than public ticketed screenings.
