Notley Tythe Barn

Notley Tythe Barn is an exclusive-use wedding venue on a working farm near Long Crendon, on the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire border. At its heart is a restored 12th-century barn, where historic beams, a whitewashed hall and gallery provide a distinctive setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies indoors and in the gardens, giving couples a choice of backdrops for their day.

The barn can seat up to 140 guests for a wedding breakfast. The adjoining Granary Bar provides space for a further 60, while the gardens offer a patio, lawns and room for a larger marquee. The venue also hosts evening celebrations, with exclusive use of the barn, bar, patio and gardens. Free parking is available on site.

A dedicated team supports couples with planning, timings, food and drinks, and coordination on the day. In-house chefs prepare wedding menus, and the venue offers packages as well as options that can be tailored to a couple's plans and budget. Hire includes items such as tables, chairs, linen, tableware and glasses, along with a staffed bar, waiting staff and a PA system with wireless microphones. Additional touches include ceremony arrangements, resident DJs and other optional extras.

Set among rural grounds in the Chiltern Hills, Notley Tythe Barn is suited to couples looking for a characterful countryside setting and a coordinated venue service. Accommodation is not provided on site, but the team shares recommendations for nearby places to stay. Event planners can contact the venue to discuss availability, arrange a private viewing and explore the available packages.
