Barn on the Hill

Barn on the Hill is a working farm and former event venue in Thornville, Ohio, set across more than 35 acres of rolling countryside. Its barn and grounds have provided a rustic setting for weddings and private celebrations, with several spaces for guests to gather indoors and outdoors. The venue's event offering includes a large barn, an upper-level loft, a covered porch, a gazebo beside a pond and a firepit. Gardens, open fields and country views give organisers a scenic backdrop for ceremonies, receptions and photographs.

The barn was designed for gatherings and has included a caterer's kitchen, restrooms, a portable bar, tables and chairs. The property also has on-site parking. Organisers could bring in their preferred food and drink providers, subject to the venue's policies. The venue's wedding information describes spaces for preparations, ceremonies, dining and socialising, while earlier pricing information also referred to evening events and private occasions.

Bookings are not currently being scheduled for weddings while the owners work through changes connected with the farm's agricultural tourism plans. The website also describes small private gatherings and the Bazaar at the Barn as being on hold. As a result, event planners should contact the owners to check whether the venue is accepting enquiries and what uses are currently available. The farm continues to present itself as an active agricultural property, with cattle, beekeeping, gardens and greenhouse operations. Its location is around 40 minutes from Columbus, offering a rural setting within reach of the city.
