The Ballroom at the Commercial Club

The Ballroom at the Commercial Club is a historic downtown Salt Lake City venue for weddings, business events and private celebrations. Its main ballroom offers a distinctive setting with vaulted ceilings, decorative detailing and chandeliers, giving organisers a characterful space for receptions, dinners, presentations and social occasions.

The ballroom can be arranged for different event formats, from seated dinners and auditorium-style gatherings to standing receptions. Additional spaces include a grand lobby, two private meeting rooms, preparation suites, a children's room and a bar with a catering preparation kitchen. These options allow event planners to bring guests together in one large room or make space for smaller meetings, breakout sessions and wedding preparations.

The venue welcomes corporate and non-profit events such as board meetings, team retreats, workshops, seminars, fundraisers and staff celebrations. It also caters for weddings, birthdays, graduations and other milestone occasions, and can be hired for photoshoots and filming. Included facilities include tables and chairs, lounge furniture, Wi-Fi, a projector and screen, presentation equipment, setup and cleanup, and an on-site event supervisor. Organisers may also enquire about event management, vendor coordination, bartending, linen and glassware, valet parking and security.

Located in the heart of the city, the venue is close to downtown hotels and restaurants. Its dedicated team provides planning guidance and helps organisers shape the layout and practical arrangements around the event. The space combines a historic interior with useful facilities for both celebratory and professional gatherings.
