Mosaic Arts & Events

Mosaic Arts & Events offers a distinctive historic setting for weddings and other gatherings in downtown Sioux Falls. The venue occupies a restored quartzite and brick building dating from 1887, giving celebrations a characterful backdrop with exposed architectural details and a sense of local history. The organisation also runs art classes, but event organisers can enquire about hiring the building for private functions.

The venue welcomes weddings, receptions, corporate events, family gatherings, fundraisers, holiday parties and community celebrations. Its hireable areas include the Main Hall, Atrium and Classroom, with capacity for up to 300 guests, or 232 for a seated event. The spaces can be arranged for a ceremony and reception, dinner, dancing or other event formats, with the final layout agreed in advance.

Venue hire is available from Thursday to Sunday, subject to availability. The rental includes tables and chairs, an on-duty venue manager, a water station, beverage service with a bartender, and set-up, tear-down and cleaning. Organisers may choose their own licensed caterer, so they can plan food service around the needs of their event. Mosaic also welcomes licensed event suppliers, and can share a list of local vendors familiar with the venue.

Set-up and event access are covered within the rental period, and functions must finish by midnight. The historic building has been renovated using energy-efficient practices and holds LEED Platinum certification.
