Philander Chase Knox Estate

Philander Chase Knox Estate is a historic venue in Valley Forge National Historical Park, available for weddings and other private or corporate events. Set among meadows, mature trees and parkland, the estate offers organisers a distinctive setting with both outdoor space and historic interiors. Its grounds include a manicured lawn overlooking Valley Creek, suitable for an outdoor ceremony, with the tent available as a rain-plan option.

For receptions, guests can gather on the slate patio or in the estate's living and dining rooms before moving to a large, purpose-built tent. The 50 by 80 foot tent accommodates dining and celebrations, with built-in event lighting and reclaimed barn wood tables. The venue lists a maximum capacity of 200 guests. A private bridal suite and a separate bridesmaids' suite, each with its own powder room, are also available.

The venue's historic character and park surroundings provide a range of backdrops for photographs, while the property can host the ceremony and reception in one location. Included amenities listed by the venue include farm tables, cushioned cross-back chairs, china and glassware. Event management and day-of coordination are also part of the stated offering, with a dedicated event manager providing guidance during planning. The estate is wheelchair accessible and welcomes LGBTQ+ couples.

Located in Malvern, Pennsylvania, the estate is operated for events by Valley Forge Park Events, a partnership involving Robert Ryan Catering & Design and The Party Center. Organisers can contact the venue to discuss dates, guest numbers and event requirements.
