The Beacon

The Beacon is a historic event venue in downtown Topeka, set in a restored 1920s building near the Kansas Statehouse. Its character comes from the former Topeka Woman's Club, with original architectural details and a collection of rooms suited to different event styles and group sizes.

Organisers can choose from spaces including a theatre, ballroom, dining room, lounge, library, conference rooms and an open-air rooftop. The venue welcomes weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, birthdays, private parties, meetings and corporate gatherings. Its range of rooms allows planners to select a setting for a smaller meeting or a larger celebration, and to arrange more than one space for an event that needs separate areas.

Wedding bookings can include exclusive venue access, preparation lounges, tables and chairs, sound equipment, microphones, a venue coordinator and vendor support. The team also offers bar options and can help planners arrange catering, with a catering kitchen available on site. Couples can work with the venue on a package suited to their plans, while other organisers can enquire about the room and facilities that fit their programme.

The Beacon's historic interiors, city views and rooftop provide several distinct backdrops in one location. Practical features such as an elevator, Wi-Fi, parking and built-in sound equipment support a range of event formats. Organisers can explore the spaces, discuss their requirements with the venue team and arrange a tour before booking.
